Eastleigh FC has made a significant change by appointing Scott Bartlett as their new first-team manager. The club, competing in the National League, decided to bring in Bartlett following the sacking of Kelvin Davis and assistant Danny Butterfield. The 46-year-old manager previously led Weston-super-Mare in the National League South for six years, achieving promotion from the Southern Premier. His experience also includes a caretaker role at Forest Green Rovers during his playing career, where he represented clubs like Salisbury and Bath City.

Eastleigh's vice-chairman, Tom Coffey, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, stating that from their initial discussions, it was evident they wanted to move quickly and efficiently. The club has worked diligently behind the scenes to finalize this decision, and they appreciate the cooperation from Weston-super-Mare during the process. Coffey emphasized that they are excited about the brand of football Bartlett will bring to the Silverlake Stadium.

Bartlett's first match in charge will not be the upcoming game against Southend, as he will take the helm for the following fixture against Wealdstone. The Spitfires are looking forward to a new chapter under Bartlett's leadership, hoping to improve their performance in the league and engage the fanbase with an exciting style of play.
