Eastleigh have sacked manager Kelvin Davis after a disappointing start to the season in the National League. The decision comes following a 3-1 loss at home to Braintree Town, marking the club's fifth defeat in nine league games this season. Eastleigh currently sits 16th in the table, having only secured one point from their last three matches. Davis, a former Southampton goalkeeper, had initially led Eastleigh to three wins in four games during August, but the team's form has significantly declined since then. The club released a statement thanking Kelvin and his assistant Danny Butterfield for their commitment and efforts, wishing them well for the future. Davis was appointed in February 2024 and managed to guide the team to a 13th-placed finish in his first season. However, the club's performance last term mirrored that result, finishing nine points off the play-off places with a record of 14 wins and 15 losses in 46 league games.
