Eastleigh's former goalkeeper Josh McNamara has joined National League South side Slough Town after leaving the Spitfires. McNamara, who also spent time in Manchester City's academy, made five appearances in the National League for Eastleigh last season. He played as a backup goalkeeper to Nick Townsend, the former Newport stopper who assumed the number one role. At Saints, McNamara made 27 appearances for the under-21s and spent time on loan in the National League South with St Albans City in the 2023/24 season. Josh McNamara said he's excited to work with Alan Julian, the Slough manager, who understands his position as a goalkeeper. McNamara aims to give his all to keep clean sheets and get the club in the best place possible. He's looking forward to the season ahead with Slough Town. McNamara's experience in the National League will be valuable to his new team. The goalkeeper is eager to make a good impression and help Slough Town succeed.
